橡胶脱模剂一般分为外用型和内用型两种。传统的脱模剂一般为外用型，即涂敷在模腔表面，习惯上也有称作隔离剂的，产品主要有滑石粉、云母粉、皂类、石蜡、聚四氟乙烯及硅油等，它们都有一定的脱模效果，但具有易留下模垢和痕迹、对模具有腐蚀作用、价格较昂贵等缺点。在众多的脱模剂品种中，氟、硅脱模剂因其脱模效果好、适合脱模的模材多，是近年来发展较快的两类脱模剂。
